Admission Requirements

Our program has filled for the 2024-25 academic year.
Our program will have two open positions for the 2025-26 academic year. 

All applications for our 2025-2026 class must be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Our Program is accredited by the Accredidation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). We have signed the SCAI petition and will participate in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) for the 25-26 cycle. 

Applications are accepted during the July medical subspecialty application period. We accept applications through the end of August each year. 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Board eligibility/certification in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease (ABIM or American College of Osteopathic Internal Medicine; this requirement implies having successfully completed steps 1, 2 and 3 of the USMLE and/or Comlex Exams) 
  • Three letters of recommendation. 
    • Preferred letter writers: applicant's cardiovascular disease fellowship program director, cath lab director and an interventional cardiologist 
  • An updated copy of the applicant's curriculum vitae 
  • Prior research experience is desirable but not a requirement 
  • Preferably, completion of residency within the last five years 

FOR INTERNATIONAL GRADUATES 

  • J-1 visas are sponsored (not H-1) 

Interview Day
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are interviewing via Zoom. Details regarding interviews will be given to selected applicants once invited for interview.
