Admission Requirements
Invitations to interview are based on review of the following materials:
- NBPME: Pass part III
- Two letters of recommendation
- Personal statement
- Minimum GPA: 3.0
- Minimum Rank: top half of class
- Program Fee: $40 payable to Carilion Clinic Graduate Medical Education, Podiatry
At the start of your residency, you are required to have current certification in BLS and ACLS. These must be effective at least through November. You will also need a Virginia medical training license.
We encourage you to plan a visit to our program, though this is not a requirement for an invitation to interview. You can plan a clerkship or a one- to three-day shadow visit. We would like to receive your CV prior to your visit.

Interview Day
Our program participates in the American Association of Colleges of Podiatric Medicine's Council of Teaching Hospitals Matching Program (CASPR). We will be participating in the centralized interview process (East of the Mississippi date).
