Our residency program offers residents comprehensive training that includes bedside and intra-operative education all while treating a diverse patient population with access to multiple facilities within the Carilion system. A notable distinction of our program is that we front-load off-service rotations in the first year to provide an intensive concentration in podiatry and orthopaedics in the second and third years. In addition, our research-based curriculum provides residents the opportunity to submit two case studies and a research project and to present a topic at one of the annual podiatry conferences.
